Medication

Our pharmacy service supports staff, service users and carers to achieve safe and effective management of medicine. Information and education about medicines are provided by specialist pharmacists and technicians.

Medicine is dispensed from Highgate Mental Health Centre, Monday-Friday 9am -5pm. Trust staff have access to call pharmacy services outside of these hours.

Medicines formulary

A formulary is a list of medicines approved for use within the Trust. We must make available treatments that have been approved by NICE (The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) within three months of their recommendation.

The Choice and medication website  provides information for service users, carers and professionals. The site can help you to make a decision or better understand different medicines. Information is available to print or  download in a range of user-friendly formats.
