Our service is designed to work alongside clients to improve their quality of life by providing flexible coaching support.
Clients will be offered up to 10 hours of coaching sessions and these can be taken in a variety of ways in terms of timing and location. The Peer Coach will help clients to focus on what is important to them and how they want to improve their health and wellbeing. Being practitioners with lived experience of mental health and sometimes physical health issues, they share a real understanding of living with mental and physical health conditions.

The Choice and Control Peer Coaching Service is specifically for two groups of people:

The Peer Coaches have a great ability to help a person:
be heard
find hope
get connected to people, places and services
explore options to improve their quality of life
Becoming a Peer Coach
Peer Coaches undergo a rigorous training and recruitment process that includes training in coaching and engagement skills as well as local services and processes. We have at least yearly recruitment drives and are well linked with other local peer working initiatives so can assist potential peer coaches to find their career path.
