Star of the Year Awards 2018
Our Star of the Year Awards are back - bigger and better than before!
At C&I, we truly appreciate the exceptional contribution our colleagues, service users, volunteers and carers give every day and we do not think it should go unnoticed!
Whether it is members of staff continuously going above and beyond to help our service users or a volunteer making a significance difference – we would like to celebrate their achievements.
On Wednesday 19 September 2018, we will be hosting our next Star of the Year Awards and we need your nominations!
We have 13 categories this year that include:
- Carer of the Year Award
- Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Award
- Cultural Pillars Implementation Award
- External Support Service Colleague of the Year Award
- Frontline Service Award
- Leader of the Year Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Linda Polan Trophy (Service User Award)
- Quality Improvement (QI) Project of the Year Award
- Service Improvement of the Year Award
- Staff Recognition by a Service User Award
- Team of the Year Award
- Volunteer of the Year Award

Nominations can include individuals who have worked in the Trust over the past year, even if they are no longer working with us.
Please note: The Staff Recognition by a Service User Award is only eligible for nominations by service users.
These awards are promoted externally by C&I's Communication Team, so nominees will be asked to sign a consent form if they are a finalist.
The deadline for nomination is close of play on Tuesday 31 July 2018.

Carer of the Year Award - A carer who has made exceptional and practical contributions to the lives of service users
Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Award - A team or individual that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
Cultural Pillars Implementation Award - An individual or team who works hard to achieve the Trust’s key priorities by focusing on our Cultural Pillars: We value each other; We are empowered; We keep things simple and We are connected
External Support Service Colleague of the Year Award - A domestic, estates, engineering, security or housekeeping colleague who always goes above and beyond
Frontline Service Award - A team in a service user-facing role that has provided exceptional care, treatment and support to service users
Leader of the Year Award - A member of staff who has shown a natural ability to lead and support their colleagues, while inspiring others to achieve great things
Lifetime Achievement Award - An acknowledged role model who has supported or created significant improvements and demonstrated outstanding achievements
Linda Polan Trophy (Service User Award) - A service user who has made an exceptional and practical contribution to the lives of other service users
Quality Improvement (QI) Project of the Year Award - A team that has achieved high quality outcomes through the successful implementation of a QI project
Service Improvement of the Year Award - A team that has demonstrated learning following an event or feedback and implemented necessary changes to improve service delivery
Staff Recognition by a Service User Award - A member of staff who has helped service users or made a meaningful contribution to service user experience
Team of the Year Award - A team that has made significant performance achievements in the past 12 months, while facing considerable challenges
Volunteer of the Year Award - A volunteer who has gone above and beyond to help service users, carers, visitors or staff
