Congratulations to Fiona Felgate, Senior Occupational Therapist at Southwood Smith Centre, who is December's Star of the Month.
After organising an inspiring and informative event on diabetes awareness earlier this year, Fiona was nominated for successfully demonstrating the Trust's values throughout the process.
With over 50 service users attending the event held at the Southwood Smith Centre, Fiona ensured all guests felt welcomed and respected, and that the topics discussed were informative and positive. She engaged with partner organisations such as MIND and Foodcycle, as well as fellow occupational therapists, nurses and service users, showing true leadership and collaboration.
Presenting her with a certificate, C&I pin badge and a £30 M&S voucher, Trust Chair Leisha Fullick, said: "Not only was this a successful event, it also directly fitted in with the intended outcomes of the Integrated Practice Unit - a project that's very important to the Trust!
"It's a great example of multidisciplinary teams and collaborative projects working well - led by a very able Occupational Therapist."
Former colleague, Sarah Bradfield, who nominated Fiona said: "The event was such a success that many service users said that they'd be making positive lifestyle changes as a result!"
Congratulations to Fiona!
