Congratulations to Sophie Philippou, Practice Development Nurse, who has been crowned as our latest Star of the Month.
Sophie was recognised for the key role she played in delivering an excellent flu vaccination programme, which helped to reduce the risk of flu for service users and staff at C&I, while also meeting significant NHS targets.
With her motivating approach, Sophie encouraged her colleagues to join her in being a peer vaccinator, making the flu jab as accessible for colleagues as possible. This resulted in an impressive 60.1% of colleagues being vaccinated, which is a huge improvement on the previous year.
In addition to her amazing work around the flu campaign, Sophie also continuously demonstrates the Trust's values.
Rachel Cockerton, Practice Development Lead, who nominated Sophie said: "She always has a smile on her face, which makes her a joy to work with.
"Sophie always puts her patients and colleagues first and does so with such positivity and professionalism. She masters the perfect combination of being driven to achieve her goals, while also finding humour and kindness in her delivery."
Sophie was stunned as Trust Chair, Leisha Fullick, arrived halfway through a recent team meeting to read the special citation, before presenting her with a certificate, C&I pin badge and a £30 M&S voucher.
