Over-60s travel costs before 9am

Red London bus going to Hackney

Holders of the 60+ Oyster photocard and Older Persons’ Freedom Pass will continue to be required to pay for travel between 4.30am and 9am on weekdays. They will still be eligible for unlimited free travel on TfL’s services after 9am on Mondays to Fridays and at all times at weekends and bank holidays. This measure was introduced during the pandemic and is being made permanent by TfL.

If this affects your journey to appointment, and you would like to take advantage of free travel, please speak to your contact at the Trust and ask whether your appointment could be moved to later in the day.

No change will apply to holders of the Disabled Persons’Freedom Pass as part of this change - they will still be able to travel for free at all times.
