It is with deep sadness that Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) announces that Non-Executive Director Kieran Parmar has passed away after a serious illness.
Kieran, 65, joined the C&I board in March 2017 as both a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. Trust Chair Leisha Fullick said: “We are very shocked and saddened at Kieran’s death and our thoughts are very much with his family and friends.
“He was a fantastic Chair of Audit and Risk and gave us tremendous expertise, support and challenge. He was greatly valued for his gentle wisdom, thoughtful contributions and for his commitment to mental health.
“He provided a distinct insight and perspective on key areas of the Trust’s work, helping ensure, for instance, that it had robust and reliable systems of control, managed risk well, and was a well-led organisation. He will be very much missed.”
A chartered accountant, Kieran had extensive experience of delivering transformational change in finance, business development and commercial director roles in large complex organisations.
He had also served as a Non-Executive Director on North West London Hospitals Trust’s Board, as well as being its Deputy Chairman for three years.
