Make your vote count - Governors' Election 2022

Voting is now open in the Council of Governors' Election 2022 and we ask that all eligible Members please cast their vote by Monday 22 August. Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) has Members (staff and public) and elected Governors who help to ensure that the views of local people, service users, members and staff are all heard by the Trust’s Board.

The Governors, who are elected by the Members, play an important role in helping to inform Members about key C&I developments. Members of the Council of Governors' Committee participate in working groups and appoint the Trust Chair and Non-Executive Directors and advise on C&I’s strategic direction. The Governors also advise NHS Improvement about C&I’s performance and appoint, or remove, the Trust's auditors.

There are 26 Governors:

  • 6 elected by service user members
  • 5 elected by members of the public constituency living in Camden
  • 5 elected by members of the public constituency living in Islington
  • 1 elected by members of the public constituency living in neighbouring boroughs
  • 4 elected by C&I staff
  • 5 posts for Nominated Governors designated by stakeholder organisations, for instance: voluntary action groups, local authorities, and local medical universities or colleges.

For more information about the work of the Governors visit the C&I website by clicking this link.

Thank you

Samantha Gordon, Lead Governor elected & Olga Cecilia Farach, Deputy Lead Governor re-elected.
