Lived experience support reduces readmissions

10 August 2018
A study led by Professor Sonia Johnson, Consultant Psychiatrist from the Trust’s Islington Early Intervention Service, has shown that providing peer support to people who have recently left acute mental health care reduces the chances of their re-admission.
Professor’s Johnson’s study, commissioned through a grant from C&I and carried out in partnership with University College London, has now been published in the prestigious medical journal The Lancet.
