Changes to our emails

Following recent communications, this is a reminder that Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust will be closing all email accounts since accreditation to the NHS Digital secure email standard. Staff will use email addresses for all external emails as a secure route for sending and receiving confidential and sensitive information, including patient identifiable information (PID). Staff already had email addresses, but they were not previously used for confidential information.

You can see details of the secure email standard here; please be assured that it requires the highest possible data protection standards and is suitable for sending / receiving sensitive information without the use of additional encryptions tools. Please do not send Egress-encrypted to addresses as this is NOT required. You can see confirmation of our accredited status here.

All communications, including referrals, should now be sent to email addresses. Our previous NHS.Net accounts, however, will continue to receive mail up until 14 January 2022 after which point they will be closed. Auto-forwarding has been set up from Tuesday 14 December 2021, until our accounts close, but please update your contact details to our new addresses as the auto-forwarding will stop after that date.

You can see the latest information for referrers on our website.
