Angela McNab confirmed as new Trust CEO

New Chief Executive named for Camden and Islington NHS Trust Camden and Islington NHS Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela McNab as the Trust’s new Chief Executive, following Wendy Wallace’s decision to retire.

Ms McNab’s appointment was approved at a meeting of the Trust’s Council of Governors and she will take up her new role on 20 April 2016.

Angela has extensive experience at Chief Executive-level, most recently at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, which provides mental health services across the county. Among her previous senior and high-profile roles, she has been Chief Executive at NHS Luton and NHS Bedfordshire, worked as Director of Public Health - Delivery and Performance - at the Department of Health, and also led the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority for five years.

Camden and Islington NHS Trust Chair, Leisha Fullick, said: “It was always going to be a huge challenge to find a worthy successor to Wendy Wallace, who has done such sterling work as our Chief Executive for the last ten years.

“However, we believe we have found that individual in Angela and we are delighted that she is joining us. We are confident that Angela will use her extensive experience and knowledge to build on our successes and help us to meet our challenges”.

Angela said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Camden and Islington FT. The Trust has a well-deserved reputation for quality and innovation. There are some really exciting developments to progress and I am looking forward to working with staff, service users and our partners in the community to make sure we deliver the best possible services to all those who need them.”
