Being a Governor is a vital role; you will represent our community and help make a difference to how we deliver mental health services. Governors actively take part in shaping the Trust’s strategies and play a vital role in holding the Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board. They provide an essential perspective to the Board’s decision-making, offering support and constructive challenge whilst acting in the best interests of the organisation.

Governors attend quarterly Council meetings and participate in one or two of our Governor Committees and/or Working Groups, where you can share your views, experiences and comments on relevant matters so these can be taken into consideration. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and gain valuable experience. We support training and development opportunities to equip Governors with skills and knowledge to help them perform their roles more effectively and enhance personal development and confidence in everyday life. You really can make a difference as a C&I Governor!
