Teams of doctors, nurses and psychologists offer mental health assessments to service users as well as advice and training to staff within GP practices.
So far the pilots have been very well received by GPs.
C&I's Paul Calaminus, Chief Operating Officer, says, "Patients seem happier to engage with mental health services when the service is based in general practice. We know GPs can't be experts at everything and we are on hand, either a phone call or a 'walk down the corridor away' so GPs can get the expert information they need."
