Plans to redevelop our facilities

Redeveloping our estate visual identity with writing and outline of a building
Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is looking to redevelop mental health facilities across the Camden and Islington estate.
The redevelopment plans are part of C&I’s wider, clinical vision to provide the calibre of mental health care that our service users deserve, expect and that is fit for the 21st century. This includes developing two new and vibrant integrated community mental health centres and a warm and welcoming inpatient facility. You can download a summary of the plans from the tab on the right.
Our staff, service users and other local people continue to work with us on the design of our new facilities. We also asked the Bartlett Real Estate Institute, UCL's faculty for architecture, to advise us on the how the latest research and best practice principles for mental health buildings can be incorporated into the development of our new facilities. Their report is also available in the downloads tab.

The short movies below explain why we need to transform our estate and the work we are doing to achieve this.
