Publication scheme

In order to comply with the FOI Act public sector organisations such as ours have to routinely publish information whenever possible. The Information Commissioner's Office, who is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance to the FOI Act has drawn up what is called a Model Publication Scheme for all public sector organisations which we have formally committed to and decided to adopt. The commissioner has also published a "Definition Document for NHS Organisation" which sets out the minimum expectations.

The Model Publication Scheme commits us to making the following classes of information available to the public:

Organisational information, locations and contacts, constitutional and legal governance.

What we spend and how we spend it

Our annual report provides financial information relating to projected and actual income expenditure, tendering and procurement and contracts. As part of the government's commitment to greater transparency, there is a requirement to publish online, central government expenditure over £25,000. Information is provided within each financial year.

What our priorities are and how we are doing

The Annual Report gives the current financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering, procurement and contracts. The report also includes information on our strategy, performance and plans.

How we make decisions

Policies and procedures

 Internal criteria and procedures, consultations are managed via a number of Committees with responsibility for ensuring the Trust meets National and local requirements for the services we provide. All the Committees with responsibility for these decisions are listed here:

  • Board of Directors
  • Audit & Risk Committee
  • Finance & Estates Committee
  • Quality Committee
  • Renumeration Committee
  • Nominations Committee

All of these Committees report to the Trust Board and the minutes of these Committees, where appropriate are made available via the Board Meetings and Minutes page.

As an open and transparent organisation, we are committed to routinely publishing as much information as possible; such information is continually updated.
