Minutes from the Special Governors Meeting
Special Governors Meeting, 8th October 2009
REPORT OF THE SPECIAL GOVERNORS MEETING HELD ON 8 OCTOBER 2009
The Governors held a special meeting on 8 October to consider a constitutional amendment. The purpose of the amendment was to clarify the terms of office of initial governors. It was agreed that the terms of office for the initial governors whose positions are due to fall for re election in the first tranche should be until 1 March 2010.
There were no votes against the amendment, and one abstention. The amendment will now be sent to Monitor for their consideration. If they approve the amendment, then the next set of Governors elections will commence in early 2010.
The next Governors general meeting will take place on 15 December and the Annual Members Meeting will take immediately afterwards.
